#how to #Collaborate with any #contact to #help #others? #cc #os #nfp #nesta #4ip #bigsociety #gov #socent

How best to collaborate with any contact to help others?

1.
How to find the best contact to collaborate with?
The internet and social media means you can use computer power to search though 000's of profiles to find people that best suit your needs with keywords.

2.
Turning contacts into collaboration.
Set up a web page on a social media site (blog/facebook/wikipedia) and invite your contacts to view it and ask them if they can help. Keep the site open to the public so contacts that you have not yet met can see your work and help too.

Here are some example projects...

http://www.WEBiversity.org

http://www.TRUSTlibrary.org

http://www.TRAIDmark.org

3.
Then email/tweet/facebook the people sending them to the location of the project you started.

Here are a few tweets made after a great Barcamp in London

Great to meet at #bcl Want to make a #drupal #charity #startup eg @WEBiversity @johnantoni @abizern @eastmad @microapps @dylanmaryk

#Open #Source all #startup #software over #time & when #enterprise goes #bust #cc #os #nfp #nesta #4ip #bigsociety #gov #socent

How is it best to encourage all organisations or startups that go bust or into administration to donate their assets to charity and open source their software so everyone benefits?

1.
Is there a way that Administration or Bankruptcy processes or laws can enforce this?

2.
Is it possible to give all software a timer that runs out just like patents where by they become automatically open source after 5/10/20 years.

#Create #Creating #Creative ! #How to #help #everyone #creatively help everyone using #innovation #cc #os #nfp #nesta #4ip #bigsociety #gov

Create Creating Creative !  How to help everyone creatively help everyone using innovation

There are three stages

1. Research & Diagnosis of a problem (itch you want to scratch)
2. Finding or Inventing a solution.
3. Sharing that solution with others by making the solution happen in reality.

Diagnosis/problem + Idea/invention + Sharing/distribution = Solution

As an example we can use 'creativity'.

1. Problem = Not enough people are entertained, educated, empowered enough to solve problems in order to HELP OTHERS using creativity (so everyone can help everyone).

2. Solution/s = A. The internet has linked everyone to everyone for the first time ever so we CAN now do this. B. Encouraging everyone to do this can be done easily using existing and new cultural broadcasters

The question is WHY are they not doing this and HOW can they be encouraged to do this?

The goalpost has been blown away. Shoot as high low wide or narrow as you like.

How high & wide should we raise the bar of expectations of what I you he she we you they gov org nfp charity can & should achieve now that the internet is linking everyone up with everyone with free education for the first time ever?

What existing problems should be solved?
What existing problems should be solved now?

Survival (no one should go hungry or thirsty as the knowledge/technology/wealth exists and can be shared electronically NOW).

Education (We should all have access to open source free accredited online education in any subject NOW).

Health (we should all have access to open source free self diagnosis tools for any long & short term disease/illness)

Work (everyone should be able to get a job where they can use the best of their skills / passions to benefit EVERYONE in society).

Wellbeing (everyone should be happy! The knowledge & wisdom to make anyone/everyone happy exists and should be shared free to everyone now).

Transport (FREE and clean modes of transport are possible and should be shared with everyone).

Conservation (No species should be made extinct by human or natural causes for many reasons that can be found online)

Leadership (Experts in any / every field should guide the rest of us with advice on what should be done and should be 'voted' in with trust and peer review rather than out of date academic and voting mechanisms)

Progress (Everyone should be empowered and enabled to work with anyone they want so they can collaborate and creatively innovate to produce new ideas and inventions that benefit everyone that can be released as open source and creative commons for everyones benefit)

Please list any points that I have missed below so everyone can see them (with descriptions of how the points can be achieved using existing technology).

We all can #help #everyone for #free by #sharing #cc #os #nfp #nesta #4ip #bigsociety #gov #charity

Anyone can help everyone for free by doing one of many simple things..

1.
Create an open source and Creative Commons version of your website/product/service and give it away for free to charities, not for profits, coops, charitable organisations, volunteers.. with 100% net profit from that service being donated to new innovative charitable work. You then gain pr and are able to help many charitable causes at almost no cost to yourself. http://www.TRAIDmark.org explains the benefits in full.

So create a

.coop version for everyone to join and collaborate in a cooperative where 100% net profit/funds are used on innovative charitable work

.nfp version where no profits are made but donations fund INNOVATIVE charitable /nfp work

.org version for charities, charitable organisations and volunteers to use free where all net profits are donated to Innovative charity work.

Could your organisation run as a Charity (that has a Not/for profit organisation running within that)? Any/every organisation could be run like this they just need creative thinkers at the top so they are able to creatively change the organisation so they can be run this way.

How is it best to help and enable #everyone #help #anyone? #nfp #cc #os #bigsociety #nesta #4ip @webiversity

How is it best to help and enable everyone help everyone?

A.
Should Government enable everyone to help everyone (like a teacher or parent guides a child to help it help others).

How is it best to persuade and enlighten all civil servants to do this?

For example if any member of the public wants to improve a public service how can they go about it with the help of Government and civil servants?

Who in Government could make this happen?

B.
Should we help each other help each other by using age old ways and inventing (and reinventing) ways to do this better.

What carrots and rewards can be created to encourage and reward everyone so we all help each other more.

What simple ways are there to help everyone help everyone?

1.
How to enable anyone/everyone to survive so they can concentrate on innovating to create new ways to help everyone?
A. Provide a minimum wage payment from the state so that anyone who wants to help others can concentrate on doing this? Religious organisations and Cooperative have arguably been doing this with holy men that developed knowledge and charity in the past.
B. Donate to creatives and innovators that are working on ways to solve human problems effectively.

2.
Enable, empower and encourage anyone/everyone to improve public services without having to get permission.
This can be done by telling everyone what they ARE ENCOURAGED to do (carrot) rather than what they are NO ALLOWED to do (stick).

3.
Create new ways to help everyone without having to use your time or money.
A. Think of a problem (optional)
B. Think of a solution
C. Check that the solution does not do more harm than good. (hard to check as no one knows everything)
D. Share the solution so everyone can use it with a http://creativecommons.org/ license ( to protect the idea from negative use:)
E. See how others like it and how they can make it even better.

4.
There are 000...'s of ideas creations inventions designs molecules dna data or code yet to be discovered that any human can imagine. Why should any one person claim ownership of any of them just because they were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time in order to discover it? Should all 'protective' measures such as patents, patent pending, design rights, copywrite, be redesigned so that they belong to humanity and are licensed to the person that discovers them (so they can either get a personal reward or ideally generate fund so they are able to create new innovations that benefit everyone).

5.
It is important to remember to check that any innovation that is created can not be used by selfish people for 'negative' or 'evil' uses that harm others.

6.
All men are equal but some think they are more equal than others (ego:)

7.
The key to achieving these is to help yourself and others say 'YES' so it DOES work rather than saying NO with is a self fulfilling prophecy. This applies to everything in life. We can all achieve more than we think just by encouraging each other and opening our minds to new possibilities by saying 'YES' to ideas/suggestions/opinions more.

What help do you need to progress to the next stage?
How can you help others to progress to the next stage?

Full text explaining more is from Wikipedia...

Maslow's hierarchy of needs is often portrayed in the shape of a pyramid, with the largest and most fundamental levels of needs at the bottom, and the need for self-actualization at the top.[1][6]

The most fundamental and basic four layers of the pyramid contain what Maslow called "deficiency needs" or "d-needs": esteem , friendship and love, security, and physical needs. With the exception of the most fundamental (physiological) needs, if these "deficiency needs" are not met, the body gives no physical indication but the individual feels anxious and tense. Maslow's theory suggests that the most basic level of needs must be met before the individual will strongly desire (or focus motivation upon) the secondary or higher level needs. Maslow also coined the term Metamotivation to describe the motivation of people who go beyond the scope of the basic needs and strive for constant betterment.[7] Metamotivated people are driven by B-needs (Being Needs), instead of deficiency needs (D-Needs).

1. Self-actualization

“What a man can be, he must be.”[8] This forms the basis of the perceived need for self-actualization. This level of need pertains to what a person's full potential is and realizing that potential. Maslow describes this desire as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming.[9] This is a broad definition of the need for self-actualization, but when applied to individuals the need is specific. For example one individual may have the strong desire to become an ideal parent, in another it may be expressed athletically, and in another it may be expressed in painting, pictures, or inventions.[10] As mentioned before, in order to reach a clear understanding of this level of need one must first not only achieve the previous needs, physiological, safety, love, and esteem, but master these needs. Below are Maslow’s descriptions of a self-actualized person’s different needs and personality traits.

Maslow also states that even though these are examples of how the quest for knowledge is separate from basic needs he warns that these “two hierarchies are interrelated rather than sharply separated” (Maslow 97). This means that this level of need, as well as the next and highest level, are not strict, separate levels but closely related to others, and this is possibly the reason that these two levels of need are left out of most textbooks.

2. Esteem

All humans have a need to be respected and to have self-esteem and self-respect. Also known as the belonging need, esteem presents the normal human desire to be accepted and valued by others. People need to engage themselves to gain recognition and have an activity or activities that give the person a sense of contribution, to feel accepted and self-valued, be it in a profession or hobby. Imbalances at this level can result in low self-esteem or an inferiority complex. People with low self-esteem need respect from others. They may seek fame or glory, which again depends on others. Note, however, that many people with low self-esteem will not be able to improve their view of themselves simply by receiving fame, respect, and glory externally, but must first accept themselves internally. Psychological imbalances such as depression can also prevent one from obtaining self-esteem on both levels.

Most people have a need for a stable self-respect and self-esteem. Maslow noted two versions of esteem needs, a lower one and a higher one. The lower one is the need for the respect of others, the need for status, recognition, fame, prestige, and attention. The higher one is the need for self-respect, the need for strength, competence, mastery, self-confidence, independence and freedom. The latter one ranks higher because it rests more on inner competence won through experience. Deprivation of these needs can lead to an inferiority complex, weakness and helplessness.

3. Love and belonging

After physiological and safety needs are fulfilled, the third layer of human needs are social and involve feelings of belongingness. This aspect of Maslow's hierarchy involves emotionally based relationships in general, such as:

  • Friendship
  • Intimacy
  • Family

Humans need to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance, whether it comes from a large social group, such as clubs, office culture, religious groups, professional organizations, sports teams, gangs, or small social connections (family members, intimate partners, mentors, close colleagues, confidants). They need to love and be loved (sexually and non-sexually) by others. In the absence of these elements, many people become susceptible to loneliness, social anxiety, and clinical depression. This need for belonging can often overcome the physiological and security needs, depending on the strength of the peer pressure; an anorexic, for example, may ignore the need to eat and the security of health for a feeling of control and belonging.[citation needed]

4. Safety needs

With their physical needs relatively satisfied, the individual's safety needs take precedence and dominate behavior. These needs have to do with people's yearning for a predictable orderly world in which perceived unfairness and inconsistency are under control, the familiar frequent and the unfamiliar rare. In the world of work, these safety needs manifest themselves in such things as a preference for job security, grievance procedures for protecting the individual from unilateral authority, savings accounts, insurance policies, reasonable disability accommodations, and the like.

Safety and Security needs include:

  • Personal security
  • Financial security
  • Health and well-being
  • Safety net against accidents/illness and their adverse impacts

5. Physiological needs

For the most part, physiological needs are obvious — they are the literal requirements for human survival. If these requirements are not met, the human body simply cannot continue to function.

Physiological needs include:[1]

Air, water, and food are metabolic requirements for survival in all animals, including humans. Clothing and shelter provide necessary protection from the elements. The intensity of the human sexual instinct is shaped more by sexual competition than maintaining a birth rate adequate to survival of the species.

#Free #education for everyone that benefits everyone using #drupal #os #cc #nfp @WEBiversity

Webiversity aims to help everyone help everyone using open source software.
There is a complex mix of benefits but here are a few..

1. Provide free education in an organised way (so can be accredited and tested).
2. Draws likeminded people together to support each other
3. Created crowdsourced projects based on inspiring videos.
4. Empowers and enables anyone to help anyone in any way they deem suitable.

It would be great to work with your programming / drupal skills. Do you know of any government funding that could be used to make free open source education for all?

We are a volunteer group but have a small bit of funding and were hoping you might be able to ask a member of your team of they could volunteer to build the site using existing drupal software (we then can use our contacts to get funding to pay for more of your work (so this is a way of creating future work).

#What is important in #life & #how can we provide it for #all using what we have? #health #happiness #food #shelter #love #bigsociety #nesta #4ip #gov

What is important in life and how can we provide it for all using what we have? health happiness food shelter love bigsociety nesta 4ip gov?

The key trick is to first look at what everyone actually needs in life (which we all forget from time to time) and then stop wasting time on the things that we do not need and second find the easiest way to provide the most important things to EVERYONE first (like food water shelter clothing health happiness love company).

1.
So First why not help everyone make every second of their lives great by sharing free knowledge about how to make your own life great (by appreciating what you have and helping others - which makes you happy:)

Happy?

http://www.ted.com/talks/matthieu_ricard_on_the_habits_of_happiness.html

2.
At the same time we can also help everyone get the basic funadmentals to live with care food, water, and shelter and also sanitation, education (Wisdom & Knowledge), and healthcare not forgetting Love and companionship and employment.
A full list is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_needs

The key to achieving these is to help yourself and others say 'YES' so it DOES work rather than saying NO with is a self fulfilling prophecy. This applies to everything in life. We can all achieve more than we think just by encouraging each other and opening our minds to new possibilities by saying 'YES' to ideas/suggestions/opinions more.

We are trying to do this by sharing organised education information at http://www.WEBiversity.org AND creating real world spaces that enable anyone to collaborate and create jobs at http://www.TRUSTlibrary.org and are looking for partners, collaborators, volunteers and funders. Do you have a talent or resource that you or we can use to help others? If so join the facebook groups and comment there.

As we all have a finite amount of time to live TIME is very important.

What is the meaning of life? Maybe enabling EVERYONE to enjoy life while we work it out is a good start?

Also does anyone know how to contact the Wikipedia team to help them improve Wikipedia? It could be better that twitter/facebook/youtube combined if they are able to implement a few improvements.

We are looking for programmers to help everyone help everyone using innovative re-uses of open source software to do this. If interested contact @whymandesign

Want to #help #anyone #help #everyone using #os #cc #nesta #4ip #bigsociety #rsa #ted

Can we create a charity version of any site using open source software with you? We will run this as a not for profit charitable organisation and would like to collaborate with you. If you work in an organisations can a member of your team help set this up as part of your CSR or a volunteer scheme? As we develop the charity site we will then be able to help you enhance your great work too by sharing knowledge. Can we help you too?

We plan to create several not for profit (charity) public service web startups and were hoping we could do it with your tech team (we have contacts in the uk industry and this could be used by your team to create a showcase site that will lead to more paid work:).

1.
We want to make an open source drupal version of this prototype site http://wwww.WEBiversity.org (organising free online video's into useful courses with crowdsourcing). Essentially draws in feeds of video content and enables comments/collaboration around the video. We have some funds for this but run as a volunteer organisation and were hoping some of your team/volunteers could help (set up a drupal site that draws in video feeds)?

New exciting drupal modules are coming out all the time and these could be incorporated too.

(essentially set up a drupal site using existing modules and if possible set up a video feed site that enables others to make their own reskinned version with one click).

Is this something that you could do on a voluntary basis?
What is the best price you can do this for?

Is there  a way we can help you?

We are looking for programmers to help everyone help everyone using innovative re-uses of open source software to do this. If interested contact @whymandesign

:) @TRAIDmark is a #FREE way to #enhance any #startup #socent #charity #gov #nfp with #os #cc #innovation #bigsociety #nesta

@TRAIDmark is a FREE way to enhance any startup socent charity gov nfp with os cc innovation bigsociety nesta

The fist state is that you run as a not for profit or donate 100% net profit to NEW innovative not for profit startups.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-profit_organization

The next key area is that you DONATE/INVEST any surplus funds that you generate (in donations or through your work) into NEW INNOVATIVE charitable NOT FOR PROFIT startups. This creates a spiral of success as not for profit startups fund more not for profit startups... :)

Clearly stating that this is what your organisation does enables you to gain significant goodwill and customers /suppliers/helpers like me who will help.

Also if you register as a Charity then you gain tax breaks and other benefits too (using the http://www.TRAIDmark.org model to continue innovating:)

In a formula Traidmark.org = NFP + Coop + Innovation + philanthropy/charity ( funds are created and spent on funding new innovation:)

The best thing is that this is free and open so that anyone can do it and so create a new USP that enables selfless innovative people like yourself benefit from being selfless effectively by innovating.

Do share this free way to help others with your peers.

I would LOVE to help any selfless people innovate for free too tweet @whymandesign and say what you are working on

http://www.TRAIDmark.org

Any organisations can benefit from this and CAN be run this way. If you do not know how or do not have the creative mind to enable this to happen tweet your detials and aims/problems to http://www.twitter.com/whymandesign and we can creatively enhance your work (for free if your doing good:).

http://www.FREEtraid.org helps too.

#What #stage in #development & #wisdom are you? How do you need #help and how can you help others? #bigsociety #nesta @webiversity

What stage of development are you at?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Maslow%27s_Hierarchy_of_Needs.svg

Improve #charity #gov or #education #org eg #University Run as #nfp #os #cc #startup #collaboration #spaces #Bigsociety #nesta @trustlibrary @jisc

All charity, gov or education organisations can be improved easily making them self sustaining. eg Universities can be run as not for profit open source creative commons startup collaboration spaces.

All universities can be created into self sustaining Not For Profit Innovation Collaboration spaces where anyone can collaborate on creating innovative new public service products and/or services that are Open Source and use Creative Commons for the greatest good.

This means that all universities can run as self sustaining not for profits (ideally also charities to make sure they 'do good' with the knowledge and wisdom).

How is it possible to present this to those who are able to implement this so that any organization can save lives by becoming an innovation collaboration space?

One key area is how information and teams are enabled to collaborate using software.

We are looking for programmers to help everyone help everyone using innovative re-uses of open source software to do this. If interested contact @whymandesign

How to help yourself by helping others or help others by helping yourself?! @TRAIDmark model used @trustlibrary & @webiversity

TRAIDmark.org enables anyone to create and collaborate on selfless enterprise that is run like a Not for profit or coop but where ALL surplus NET profit is donated to be spend on new innovative charitable work.

TRAIDmark.org = Coop + Philanthropy

This enables everyone to create their own philanthropic enterprise with Institutional Innovation.

E.G.

http://www.TRUSTlibrary.org recycles unwanted books by encouraging everyone to make THEIR OWN FREE LIBRARY with a couple of books ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

http://www.WEBiversity uses open source software to organise the free video/content that is on the web into educational pages and learning lesson plans so that anyone can learn anything for free. IMPORTANTLY it also enables all learners to contribute to crowdsourced and crowdfunded collaborative projects that they created that are instigated by the learning video/content at the Web University. Free organised education = knowledge + Wisdom = happiness for everyone. This allows the learners to asses and critique the work so can contribute to the enhancement of the work and its validity. This means that news and information will be enhanced in a geographic context and will enhance the amount of accurate knowledge that is shares socially which helps knowledge break down geographic barriers.

We organize information in an educational context for free using open source software so provide quality education for free for everyone AND empower learners to help others so everyone can help everyone.
