There is a complex mix of benefits but here are a few.. 1. Provide free education in an organised way (so can be accredited and tested).
2. Draws likeminded people together to support each other
3. Created crowdsourced projects based on inspiring videos.
4. Empowers and enables anyone to help anyone in any way they deem suitable. It would be great to work with your programming / drupal skills. Do you know of any government funding that could be used to make free open source education for all? We are a volunteer group but have a small bit of funding and were hoping you might be able to ask a member of your team of they could volunteer to build the site using existing drupal software (we then can use our contacts to get funding to pay for more of your work (so this is a way of creating future work).
