Is there a way for Everyone/Authors/Academics to survive while giving their work away free so EVERYONE (the X Billion on this planet) can benefit from using their work for free? Grants or Philanthropy can help but maybe there is a scalable model that is proven that works?
The Busking model works for musicians who love playing to earn a living so why not do this for all areas?
Giving fee content with donations is the one proven way to do this? The question then is how to enable everyone to donate a small bit AND integrate this easily online? This could most easily be done philanthropically where the producer give the content away but asks the consumer to donate funds to an innovative charitable activity of their choise http://www.FREEtraid.org & http://www.TRAIDmark.org explain more. Can Authors & Academics lead the way by doing this?
